MOM. ARTIST. EMILY.
Love To Learn
I’ve been an artist my whole life, and exploring different areas of art has been a big part of my journey. When I went to college, I first studied Photography but it was when I took a drawing class that I was reminded of how much I loved that medium. I switched my major and received my degree in illustration from Salt Lake Community college in 2007. Today, I find myself wanting to meld all the mediums I’ve explored over the years. In doing so, I’m exposed to something new every day. Learning is growth and that’s what fuels me as an artist.
Look At That Face
I’ve been so blessed to be a stay at home mom to my two beautiful girls. They have inspired me in so many ways and I love to share my creative passions with the two of them. In fact, it was about 5 years ago that I started face painting with them for fun, which turned into a sustainable business for our family.
Sharing My Art
With Poetry in Paint, I’m able to expand my art offerings and share my passions with the world on a completely new level. My inspiration comes from discovering new artists, exploring online galleries, snapping photos during a hike in the mountains, and taking classes that open my heart to new skills and practices. It’s a pleasure to be sharing that with all of you through this incredible online platform. Poetry in Paint is my heart on a canvas.
Thank you so much for supporting handmade! It means the world to me.
